Biswajit Paul is a Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in Polymer Science & Rubber Technology from the University of Calcutta. He is also
a Six-Sigma Black Belt. With 33+ years of experience, he is the Technical Director of Shine Carbon and Chemicals Pvt. Ltd., (SCCPL),
since last THREE years, which is a part of Ralson-Shine Group of India.
Prior to joining SCCPL, he was the Head (R&D, Quality & Technical Services) for Himadri Specialty Chemical Ltd., for SIX years.
Besides, for 16 years, he was in Senior Managerial roles of Birla Carbon in their Overseas Units & Technical Centers of Aditya Birla
Group – the 2nd largest Business House in India.
In 1992, he started his career from JK Tyre’s R&D (which is known as HASETRI) and worked there for EIGHT years as Sr. Scientist

A passionate advocate for Sustainability for more than 5 years, David has focused on reducing environmental impact through the Life Cycle Analysis approach, emphasizing Usage, Re-usage (such as Regroove & Repair) and Renew (such as Retreading), as well as End-of-Life phases, including Recycling, Resource Recovery, and reintegration of Renewable and/or Recycled materials to support highest order value circular economy and environmental outcomes.
His collaborative approach and strategic insights have earned trust across private and public sectors, driving industry evolution. David champions environmentally responsible opportunities, whether Open or Closed Loop, which align commercial realities with environmental stewardship, leveraging local and global technologies for high-value order outcomes.
