Dr. Paolo Glerean, holds a degree in Economics from the University of Trieste . Since 2011, he has been a Board Member at Aliplast where he leads Sales, Marketing, and Institutional Affairs.

Actively engaged in the circular economy and plastics recycling sectors, he serves on the board of Plastics Recyclers Europe (PRE) and chairs the RecyClass platform.

He is also a board member of Assorimap, the Italian Plastics Recyclers Association, and has held leadership roles within PET Sheet Europe, a sector group of EuPC and currently Vice-President.

In 2023, he moved to FoodChain ID which provides integrated food safety, quality and sustainability services to the global agrifoods industry

He has been for more than 20 years in the business of PET recycling. Held various positions related to quality, environment, operations, purchasing and projects. His last position prior to joining PETCORE EUROPE, was Director of Projects and Quality for the Plastipak Beaune (FR) operation producing more than 45.000T/y of food grade rPET for Plastipak’s preform injection operations with the main focus on continuously improving quality and output. He was formerly a board member and a treasurer of PETCORE EUROPE and a board member of the French Elipso association. Raphael is based near Nuits-Saint-Georges in France.

Charlotte Werner is a seasoned expert in packaging sustainability and circularity.

As a former research associate at the University of Applied Sciences Vienna, Charlotte focused on the recyclability and circularity of packaging. She later transitioned into consulting, joining Circular Analytics, where she now leads the Circularity team. In this role, she specializes in evaluating and optimizing packaging sustainability while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Additionally, Charlotte has been a Project Manager with 4evergreen for nearly three years, collaborating with over 100 companies to now develop already the third version of the Circularity by Design Guideline for fiber-based packaging.

Dr. Jan Henke has studied International Economics and has worked for four years at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy in the research area of environmental and resource economics. He works with Meo Carbon Solutions since its foundation. Meo is a management consultancy focusing on sustainability, climate change, renewable resources and energies, bio- and circular economy and sustainability certification. 

Jan has also been involved since the very beginning in the development of ISCC (International Sustainability and Carbon Certification) and is responsible for ISCC PLUS developments. He is also Managing Director of GRAS Global Risk Assessment Services and a Board Member of the coffee certification system 4C.

Thomas De Meester is the Head of the European Plastic Films (EuPF) sector group of EuPC, where he leads advocacy initiatives and represents Europe’s plastic film converters in Brussels on sustainability and regulatory issues. He previously managed public and regulatory affairs at Fost Plus, promoting packaging recycling under the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) principle and focusing on EU legislation, and has earlier experience in market surveillance and international trade policy. Thomas holds a Postgraduate Degree in Economic Diplomacy and a Master’s in International Business Economics and Management.
