PROFILE

Max started his career with KOEN's coal procurement in 2012, where he was involved in coal purchasing, logistics arrangement, and supply & demand planning for 4 thermal power plants. The amount of procured coal was approximately 27 million tons per annum, carried by more than 230 shipments (capesize or panamax size vessels).
 

In 2021, he was dispatched to Vietnam to support KEPCO's Vung Ang II Thermal Power Project as a GA & Fuel General Manager.  This project is a joint project with KEPCO, Mitsubishi, Chugoku, and Shikoku power company for 1.2 GW TPP in middle of Vietnam (Ha Tinh). 
 

He returned to KOEN this year and has been working on wood pellet procurement, with annual procured amount of around 1 million tons.

Anna Rellama is a Principal at Arthur D. Little Southeast Asia with over a decade of strategic advisory experience across the region. Anna plays a key role in expanding the firm’s footprint in Southeast Asia—particularly in the Philippines—partnering with leading conglomerates, public-sector stakeholders, and multi-lateral funding organizations such as ADB, APEC, ASEAN, and UNOPS in pivotal areas such as renewable markets design, feasibility studies, and organizational transformation to support energy transition. Her ability to align diverse interests and drive consensus across fragmented markets has been instrumental in accelerating transformation initiatives. 
 

Prior to joining Arthur D. Little, Anna held multiple leadership roles at YCP Solidiance, the consulting arm of the HK-listed YCP Group. During her tenure, she led engagements in heavy industries—supporting clients in navigating disruption and capturing market opportunities. Thibault Cheisson is Project Manager for Biocarbon Development at Eramet, where he drives the Group’s strategy to decarbonize metallurgical operations through sustainable carbon alternatives. Based in Paris, he works at the intersection of innovation and industrial transformation, leading efforts to scale up biocarbon use across the company’s global production sites as part of Eramet’s broader commitment to low-carbon metallurgy. 
 

He holds a PhD in chemistry from École Polytechnique in France and completed postdoctoral research at the University of Pennsylvania. Before joining Eramet’s corporate decarbonization team, he contributed to the Group’s R&D efforts in pyrometallurgy, building on a strong academic foundation in metal chemistry and separation science with more than 40 publications in top-tier journals.

James has over twenty years’ experience in biomass, biogas, energy from waste and sustainable development. He moved to Singapore in early 2022 and established his own consultancy with a focus on sustainable regional biomass supply chains. Shunsuke Kawagishi specializes in climate change mitigation policy, technology and market research. In recent years, he has conducted numerous surveys in the fields of biomass sustainability including woody biomass fuels and SAF. 
 

After graduated from the School of Engineering at the University of Tokyo in 2006, he joined Mitsubishi Research Institute in 2006. He seconded to the Global Environment Office of the Industrial Technology and Environment Bureau of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry from 2009 to 2012.
   

He was nominated to Expert Reviewer of the IPCC WG3 Fifth Assessment Report (2012), IPCC WG3 Sixth Assessment Report (2020), RIETI Consulting Fellow (2013). He has been an expert nominated by the Japan (since 2020) to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Committee on Aviation Environmental Protection (CAEP) where contributed to the Long-Term Aspirational Goal Task Group and currently is contributing to the Working Group on CORSIA.

Hasnoel was previously with Andersen and CIMB Bank in Kuala Lumpur. He obtained his degree in Economics & Accounting from UK, and he is a qualified Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).

Adam is a graduate of Gdynia Maritime University (Business Management) and holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the School of Banking in partnership with the University of Northampton. He began his career in the banking and financial sector (1998–2003), later moving into certification. Miho Okuno serves as the Sustainability Manager at Renova, Inc., where she leads the development and implementation of sustainable procurement policies for biomass fuel. Since 2025, Ms. Okuno has served as a Board Member of the Biomass Power Association (BPA) and as the Chairperson of the Agricultural Resources Certification Council in Japan. Through her leadership in these organizations, she contributes to industry-wide efforts to address critical policy issues related to biomass, while promoting sound and sustainable power generation practices.

For over 15 years, she has been professionally involved in the certification of product quality and management systems, as well as the renewable energy sector. She has served for many years as a third-party auditor for several certification bodies, including the Polish Center for Testing and Certification, and global ones as: SGS Polska Sp. z o.o., Control Union Poland Sp. z o.o., DIN CERTCO GmbH, Bureau Veritas Polska Sp. z o.o., and DQS.

Santeri Rantala is the Founder/CEO of SOLCOFIN Group and has nearly two decades of experience in the Southeast Asian biomass industry. He was among the first to establish commercial-scale wood pellet factories in Indonesia and has since played a leading role in shaping the country’s biomass sector. 
 

Today, Santeri focuses on the Indonesian domestic biomass fuel market, developing sustainable supply chains and processing solutions to deliver reliable fuel to local industries. Under his leadership, SOLCOFIN works with sawmills, veneer factories, and other partners to transform wood residues into renewable biomass energy, helping industries transition away from coal.
In addition to leading SOLCOFIN’s operations, Santeri advises biomass and wood pellet project companies on development and operations, leveraging his extensive industry expertise to support new ventures across the region.
