Michael has gained more than 15 years extensive experience from the biomass industry in commercialising multiple biomass products and various markets including building more than 10 wood pellets productions. After his successful exit from the largest trader in the industry, Nordic Carbon was established in 2025 to build, own and develop biochar factories across the world. Currently Nordic Carbon is building two factories with larger pipeline to be executed in the years ahead.

With his international experience in the global biomass industry, Patrick brings extensive commercial expertise to the developing carbon market.

PhD in Metallurgical Engineering with a special focus on recycling of mineral waste materials. Co-Founder of the Vienna-based industrial tech startup sequestra. sequestra focuses on analytical and industrial technologies for the permanent storage of CO2 in secondary resources like metallurgical slags, incineration ashes or rubble.

John Booth is a well-known figure in EU data centre circles, primarily for his role as reviewer for the EU Code of Conduct for Data Centres (Energy Efficiency) (EUCOC) (https://e3p.jrc.ec.europa.eu/communities/data-centres-code-conduct) programme and his work with the Certified Energy Efficiency Data Centre Award (CEEDA) (https://www.datacenterdynamics.com/en/ceeda/) & Data Centre Alliance Certification https://dca-global.org/data-centre-certification) (which assesses data centres to a subset of the EUCOC best practices and EN 50600 respectively.)

He is also the chair of the Data Centre Alliance’s (DCA) Energy Efficiency & member of the Sustainability steering group, shaping the DCA’s policy on these topics as well as providing support to the DCA in other steering groups and the Alliance’s wider activities.

He is the Vice Chair of the British Computer Society, Chartered Institute for IT, Green IT specialist group; and the Chair of the BSI TCT7/3 committee that works upon the EN 50600 Data Centres Design and Build Standards and ISO/IEC 30134 series of Data Centre KPI’s (PUE ETC). 

John also sits on the Advisory Board of the Sustainable Digital Infrastructure Alliance (https://sdialliance.org/) and on the Infrastructure Masons (https://imasons.org/) Sustainability Committee.  He has recently been elected to the Tech UK Data Centre Council (Feb 24)

He runs his own Green IT consultancy, Carbon3IT Ltd, providing support to organisations that are preparing to adopt various data centre standards including the more general standards such as Quality, Environment, Business Continuity, Information Security, and Energy Management. They also provide specialist niche consultancy in the field of Green IT including Data Centre Energy Efficiency & Sustainability.  Carbon3IT Ltd is currently working on a number of data centre carbon footprinting projects for 2 major clients.

John is recently worked with the TIC Council developing audit criteria for the EU Taxonomy regulations.  John is a lead auditor for ISO50001: (2011/2018) Energy Management Systems and ISO 22301 Business Continuity Management Systems, is a Certified Data Centre Audit Professional CDCAP TM (Recert 2021), a Certified Data Centre Sustainability Professional CDCSP™ (2021) and is an EMA ESOS registered Assessor.

John was recently received the Data Centre Solutions Magazine “Outstanding contribution to efficiency and sustainability” award for 2023.  He is also the Technical Director of the National Data Centre Academy, (www.nationaldatacentre.academy) which provides practical technical, management and sales training to the data centre community.

David based in Nice is a Data Centre Decarbonisation and Heat Reuse consultant with many years of experience in district heating, HVAC and data centre cooling. He worked for global heat transfer companies during the last 20 years and has a comprehensive approach for data centre design.

David is committed to offer technical & ownership consulting services to his clients, with a special focus on the data centre industry and heat reuse applications for different climates. His support based on carbon footprint analysis and climate profile provide the transparency and avoid the “greenwashing”.

He is also a member of Technology Committee at Infrastructural Masons(iMasons) and make contribution to Open Compute Project Foundation(OCP) with Immersion, Cold Plates, Heat Reuse and Modular Data Centres workstreams.

Cansu Doganay is an analyst at Lux Research, based in the Amsterdam office, where she leads Lux’s coverage of the hydrogen economy and novel electrochemical processes. In this role, she advises innovation leaders in the oil and gas, industrial, and chemicals sectors on the strategic adoption of these technologies. She specializes in comparing emerging technologies and evaluating companies through rigorous techno-economic analyses, supported by both primary and secondary research.

Before joining Lux, Cansu held research positions at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, where she focused on biofuels and electrochemical CO2 capture, and Purdue University, West Lafayette, where she explored the techno-economics of decentralized green ammonia generation. Her research experience equips her with deep expertise in sustainable energy systems and industrial decarbonization.

Cansu holds a B.Sc. in mechanical engineering from the Middle East Technical University in Turkey and an MEng from the University of Michigan, where she was a Fulbright Scholar.

Neil leads the partnerships team at Isometric, the world's leading registry for carbon removals, where he works closely with both nature-based and engineered carbon removal developers. He has also contributed to developing Isometric's biomass feedstock accounting framework and writes more broadly on the techno-economic and policy levers needed to scale the carbon removal sector.

Ennio Prizzi is a Senior Policy Officer at Bioenergy Europe, working on competitiveness, corporate use of bioenergy and innovation within EU energy and climate policies. He leads the Competitiveness Working Group and coordinates the Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) Working Group, a platform focused on policy options to integrate bio-based carbon removal technologies into the EU climate framework, including incentives, certification approaches and knowledge exchange on negative emission solutions. He has over six years of professional experience in EU public affairs and a strong legal background.

Peep Pitk holds a Ph.D. in environmental chemistry and bioprocess engineering from TalTech, specializing in optimizing protein-rich side streams and anaerobic digestion processes.
 
In 2016, he joined the Fibenol team and has been leading the company’s development journey. Starting with the concept of wood valorization on paper, he has guided the Fibenol team to the completion of a globally unique industrial demonstration plant for wood fractionation. The commissioning and ramp-up of this plant were completed in 2024, paving the way for the scale-up to an industrial-sized plant by 2030.

Nicholas is heading the procurement of biomass for Albioma’s power stations in the Caribbean and Indian Ocean, and the origination of pellet production acquisition opportunities. He has over 20 years of experience in commodity trading and management of market, regulatory and operational risks. Prior to joining Albioma, he headed the biomass and Renewable Obligation Certificate trading desk at EDF Trading. Previously, he co-founded RFSL which supplied biomass to European power stations and held analytical and commercial roles at AEP Energy Services in London.
