Eugene Tan is Associate Director of Catalytic Capital for Climate & Health (C3H), the catalytic investment vehicle of Temasek Trust backing innovative early-stage companies in climate and health. Based in Singapore, he oversees the strategic deployment of catalytic capital to advance solutions with the potential for system-level impact. His prior experience spans investment banking and corporate strategy, advising on M&A transactions at UBS, Credit Suisse, and Standard Chartered, and driving growth initiatives at JustCo, a GIC portfolio company.

Dr. Vasu is a seasoned professional specializing in the establishment of strategic solution alliances within the energy sector specializing in low carbon fuels and carbon capture value chains. With a focus on securing funding and grants for carbon solution projects through government and private sector collaborations, he plays a pivotal role in driving decarbonization efforts across industries.

With over 30 years of diverse industry experience, including over 25 years in the energy sector—Dr. Vasu has a proven ability to manage alliances with a strong commercial focus. He has successfully led global partnerships, deal structuring, and cross-functional initiatives, having held significant leadership roles across sales, supply chain, project management and lean six sigma.

He holds a Doctorate in Business Administration, a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Business Administration. Based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, he remains actively engaged in advancing the energy transition across Asia-Pacific.

Dr. Arvind is a seasoned professional specializing in ESG, CSR, strategy, corporate governance, and risk management, boasting over 35 years of experience across sectors like fertilizers, petrochemicals, steel, cement, shipping, glass, FMCG, pharmaceuticals, and automobiles in both national and multinational contexts. Throughout his 35-year career, Arvind has spent 15 years as a C-suite executive and has been a member of various management and executive committees. 
 

Currently, Arvind serves as the Chief Sustainability Officer at ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel. Prior to this role, he was the Executive Director-ESG and Chief Risk Officer at Dalmia Bharat Group. Before that he served as an Executive President UltraTech Cement and Global Chief Sustainability Officer for Tata Motors. In addition to his focus on risk and sustainability, Arvind has experience in operations, business excellence, marketing, and human resources. 
 

He holds a doctorate in climate science and marketing and is a certified independent director from the Institute of Directors. He also teaches corporate governance, CSR, ESG, and risk management as part of the independent directors' course. Dr. Haoxin Xu is a Chief Consultant at Ramboll Energy, Singapore, specialising in Carbon Capture for thermal power and hard to abate sectors across Asia Pacific. She has led and supported CCUS feasibility studies, techno economic assessments, and FEED verification (design review) for projects spanning thermal power, waste to energy, cement, and steel. Her experience covers the capture technology selection and cost modelling to integration with industrial and urban systems. Haoxin regularly advises investors, and developers on practical, scalable CCUS deployment tailored to Southeast Asia’s industrial landscape.

Nadiya currently heads the Strategy and Development for ACT Commodities in Asia Pacific. In this role, she drives regional growth and opportunities for ACT Group across carbon markets, renewable energy, biomethane, and other emerging environmental products. Her work sits at the intersection of policy and markets — translating evolving regulatory landscapes and sustainability commitments into opportunities & actionable strategies that foster decarbonisation across the region. Her expertise lies in bridging climate ambition with market execution — ensuring decarbonization strategies are both impactful and economically viable.

Win Sim is Verra’s Regional Representative for the Asia and Pacific region. He handles strategic relationships and collaboration with government partners to promote VCM and the use of Verra standards. He is involved in engaging in policy dialogue and providing government partners technical support such as VCM capacity-building programs, registry interoperability and the operationalization of Article 6.2 of the Paris Agreement.

Dr Thomas Koller is the Hydrogen, Ammonia and Sustainable Fuels & CCUS Regional Lead, APAC for DNV, advising on the energy transition as well as the opportunities and challenges of sustainable fuels and related technologies. He has a background in policy development, regulation, and law with experience from the UK, Europe and Australia. 
 

Thomas is passionate about accelerated action to combat climate change having worked in both the public and private sector to bring about transformative change. 
 

Prior to joining DNV, Thomas designed and directed the ‘Gas Goes Green’ strategic decarbonisation project for the regulated gas networks in the UK. He previously worked in the biomethane sector advising on green gas generation incentives, accreditation, certification, and policy. 
 

He has a Masters in international law and a PhD in international environmental law and ethics. Thomas is based in Perth, Australia and works across Asia-Pacific.

Amir Hisham Albakri or in short, AHA is an experienced conference moderator with a strong focus on Carbon Capture, Utilisation and Storage (CCUS) within the oil & gas and energy sectors. He is known for delivering well-received, thought-provoking sessions that explore the technical, regulatory and commercial dimensions of CCUS, with a particular emphasis on its role in strengthening industry competitiveness and supporting long-term economic value creation for the nation.

Antonio Della Pelle is the East Asia Pacific Industrial Decarbonization Program Lead at IFC, based in Singapore. A chartered chemical engineer with over 27 years of experience in the energy industry, Antonio has held leadership roles at McKinsey, KBR, Enerdata, and KBC, and has been living and working in Asia since 2002.

Antonio’s expertise centers on supporting the decarbonization of hard-to-abate sectors—including steel, cement, chemicals, fertilizers, glass, and aluminum—and scaling up circular economy solutions. Over the past three years, he has led multiple decarbonization projects across Southeast Asia, with CCUS as one of the key levers for achieving deep emissions reductions.

Antonio is recognized for his hands-on leadership, technical depth, and ability to bridge policy, finance, and technology to deliver impactful decarbonization solutions. He is frequently consulted on CCUS project structuring, market development, and the integration of CCUS into broader industrial decarbonization strategies.

Aymeric is Managing Director and Head of “Energy Security and Decarbonization” at Natixis CIB. Aymeric has nearly 25 years of experience as an Energy and Industry Banker, with engineer expertise in the sector.

He graduated from IFP School and Texas A&M University and started his career as a consultant in the O&G industry and joined Natixis CIB in 2007 to lead a team of in house engineers providing support on various types of transactions ranging from project finance to private equity raise or M&A  in the global energy space (covering O&G, Geothermal, Bioenergies,  SAF/e-fuels, Carbon Capture & Storage and Hydrogen/Ammonia  projects).

Within the Energy Transition & Natural Resources Industry Group at Natixis CIB, Aymeric is since 2025 the Industry Banker in charge of the O&G and CCUS/decarbonization sectors with a worldwide coverage.

Arshad Nuval Othman is the Head of Sustainable Finance at CIMB Islamic, responsible for implementing sustainability practices and driving sustainable finance initiatives with focus on carbon finance, nature finance and client advisory. In support of Malaysia’s National Energy Transition Roadmap (NETR), Arshad advised on the: industry-wide increase of the single counterparty exposure limit (SCEL) for energy transition financing; and CIMB-led energy performance contract (EPC) financing initiative for energy efficiency. Prior to this role, Arshad worked across three banks as a Corporate Banking Relationship Manager, gaining experience in portfolios with large local corporates, multinational corporations, government-linked companies, and financial institutions.

As the Co-Chair of the Policy Subcommittee (ASEAN) for the Malaysia Carbon Market Association, Arshad participates in shaping the ASEAN carbon market ecosystem, engaging with stakeholders to promote market integrity and accessibility.

Michael is currently the Director Energy Regulation in Regulation and Compliance Division in the Department of Energy and Mining of South Australia. He holds a degree in Chemical. He has over 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry covering many aspects of the industry including reservoir engineering, tight gas, EOR, drilling and well operations, pipelines and facility engineering and process safety management.

Michael has developed the South Australian safety and environmental legislation for the oil and gas industry and the state's hydrogen safety and renewable energy legislation. 
 

Michael is the South Australian government representative on the many standards committees including chair of the Australian mirror committee for the International Standards Organisation (ISO) committee on standards for Carbon Capture and Storage where he is active on international working groups for CO2 pipelines, storage, flow assurance, monitoring and verification and shipping. 
 

He is an adjunct lecturer in Process Safety and Risk Management in the School of Chemical Engineering at the University of Adelaide. 
 

He is a Fellow Chartered Engineer with IChemE and a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers

Mr. Takada has been working as a government official for the Ministry of Finance (MOF) since 1995. He has had a wide range of experience in policy-making at the heart of the government including public finance, tax, trade policies and financial services. During over 20 years of his career he spent 5 years in the UK: study at Cambridge and LSE (1997-99), and secondment to HM Treasury (the UK finance ministry, 2003-06) where he worked on financial regulation, investment market policies and public spending.

In 2009, Mr. Takada became the first staff of the newly created National Policy Unit and worked in the Prime Minister’s Office and the Cabinet Secretariat as an architect of the new public finance framework and as a private advisor to the Prime Minister. After having held senior positions in the Finance Minister’s Secretariat responsible for policy coordination and public relations of the Ministry, he was seconded to the OECD, Paris, where he served as a Senior Policy Analyst at the Green Finance and Investment team, Environment Directorate, from 2015 to 2018.

After his return to Tokyo in 2018, Mr. Takada worked at several offices in the MOF and other parts of the government including the Climate Change Office at the Cabinet Secretariat (2021). From 2022, Mr. Takada served as the Director for Strategy Development at the Financial Services Agency, responsible for financial market policies including promotion of international financial centres and sustainable finance.

From June 2024, Mr. Takada has been seconded to the GX (Green Transformation) Acceleration Agency as its Director. The GX Acceleration Agency is newly launched by the Japanese Government in July 2024 to accelerate decarbonisation and green transformation in Japan and beyond.

Alongside his official jobs, in his private capacity, Mr. Takada launched the Green Finance Network Japan (GFNJ) in 2018 as its Secretary General. The GFNJ is an informal network that brings together key players on green finance in Japan from both public and private sectors and provides a platform for collaborating with international stakeholders.

Mr. Takada received a Bachelor degree in Law (University of Tokyo), a Master degree in Law (Cambridge University) and an MBA (Imperial College London).

Ms. Hanh Le currently supports the Asia Natural Gas and Energy Association (ANGEA) as a Senior Advisor on Cross-border CCS policies at ANGEA. Hanh has worked with governments, financial institutions and businesses in Europe and Asia-Pacific on energy transition, carbon policies and sustainable finance for the last 20 years, including leadership and advisory positions at the United Nations and global think tanks.

Yuji Aibara joined MOL in 2003 and began his career as a commercial operator handling Capesize and Panamax bulkers in the Coal and Iron Ore Carrier Division. He has worked across multiple divisions within MOL, including in-house ship management, LNG carriers, and offshore support vessels.

Since 2021, he has been engaged in business development related to CCUS.

A lawyer by training, he spent 27 years in the Investment banking and Finance Industry with assignments in Hong Kong and Singapore.

Eddy Soeparno served as Vice Chairman of the Energy & Industry Commission at the Indonesian Parliament (2019 - 2024) and has since assumed the position as Deputy Speaker at the Indonesian People's Consultative Assembly as well as Member of the Energy, Investment and Environmental Affairs Commission at the Indonesian Parliament.

Marie leads Global Broking Strategy across all of Willis’ Natural Resources sectors, overseeing global broking coordination, placement and business strategy development, as well as senior insurer engagement. Beyond these responsibilities, Marie drives product development, innovation and sustainability initiatives for Natural Resources. Notably, Marie has played a pivotal role in collaborating with clients to cultivate a deeper understanding of the distinctive risk exposures inherent in the Carbon Capture and Storage value chain and has been instrumental in designing tailored insurance and risk management solutions to address these challenges.

With 19 years of experience as an insurance broker in the London market, Marie has honed her expertise in Energy insurances. Prior to her current position, Marie focused on helping Upstream Energy clients navigate operational risks, mitigating those risks through diverse risk transfer strategies. She has a proven track record of developing placement solutions that optimize both cost and coverage, working with large and complex clients globally.
